Nooksack Bald Eagle Raft Trip:Season: December to First week in March ~ be sure to reserve your trip in advance, weekends fill up very quickly! Meeting Place: Meet at IGA store in Nugent’s Corner off Mt. Baker Highway Trip Times: Meet at 10 AM unless other arrangements have been made. What to wear: Proper Clothing is very important / Remember You lose your heat through your head and your feet! |

Join us for a day of scenery and excitement, drifting along the Main Fork of the beautiful Nooksack River! Starting at the Highway 9 bridge, this guided ten-mile rafting adventure will take you past Suzanne Falls, impressive clay cliffs, spawning salmon, and bald eagles. Experienced naturalist guides, led by David Button of Pacific Northwest Float Trips, will take you up close to nature in a safe setting as you learn about the ecosystem, animal life, plant distribution, and history that exists along the Nooksack.
The Nooksak River provides a close up personal view of bald eagles feeding on spawning salmon and other birds. There is plenty to see all the way down the river – with historical interest and nature abounding.Directions to meeting place will be sent via email; transportation is provided from the meeting location. Meets rain or shine, so please dress accordingly. All safety gear will be provided.
