Skagit Bald Eagle Raft Trip:

Season: December to First week in March ~ be sure to reserve your trip in advance, weekends fill up very quickly!

Meeting Place: Meeting Place: Meet at the Eagles Nest Motel, on the East Side of Concrete, WA on Highway 20 or at Howard Miller Steelhead Park in Rockport, WA.

Driving Directions: Driving time from Seattle allow 2.5 hours, from Tacoma 3 hours. Take I-5 North to Burlington go East on Hwy 20 to Concrete. Trip Times: Meet at 10 AM unless other arrangements have been made.

What to wear: Proper Clothing is very important / Remember You lose your heat through your head and your feet!

  • Synthetic or wool long underwear next to your skin.
  • Wool or synthetic polar fleece sweater and pants
  • Water repellent rain pants & Jacket with hood or Poncho
  • Warm HAT
  • Gloves or Mittens
  • Thick Wool or Polar Fleece Socks
  • Rubber insulated boots, hip waders, after-ski Boots, etc.
  • Leave dry clothes in your car for the end of the trip.

What to bring: Camera, Binoculars or Video camera  in a plastic bag. We can supply dry bag if needed.  You may also want to bring your lunch or a snack if you have not signed up for a lunch trip.

The trip takes about 4 hours and is suitable for all ages as there is no white water. Bring your cameras for the many photo opportunities.

Meet in Concrete, Washington. The U.S. Forest Service limits commercial rafting hours on the river in order to provide sufficient time for eagles to feed without interference. Prior to embarking on your safe inflatable raft our guides will brief you with our safety talk about this trip.

We provide shuttle service, life jackets and extra rain ponchos when necessary. Please see information in What To Wear section for proper clothing for the weather conditions on this outing.

Mini Bald Eagle Float - short version

Concerned about spending too much time on the river? We now offer a modified float trip to get you to the heart of the eagles. Allow 1.5 hours and make this a memorable part of your trip to the Skagit River. Now is the time for eagles...we're seeing anywhere around 100 or more. This shortened version of the float trip will take you right through the heart of the eagle concentration. Note there is no lunch available with this trip. Please call us if you have any questions.

Weekends no minimums / Weekdays minimum of 4 passengers
Times available: 11 AM  1 PM

Price--All Ages (no lunch available on this trip): $45
